Your Role

As a vital member of our Corporate Finance team, you will engage in various functions within the finance department. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the corporate accounting close process and preparing monthly internal and quarterly external financial statements
  • Assisting with management reporting and analysis
  • Supporting the reporting and analysis of the Company's REIT financial statements
  • Handling tasks related to external and SEC reporting

The ideal candidate will possess advanced Excel skills, including the ability to utilize complex functions. Experience with financial systems, report modeling, and financial statement analysis is essential.

Your Responsibilities

  • Grasp Accounting and Corporate Finance principles, including Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements
  • Facilitate the monthly corporate close process through journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
  • Compile consolidated financial results, including PL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and key reporting schedules
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses for actual results
  • Prepare financial statements for legal entities in compliance with REIT reporting requirements
  • Support the preparation and review of external SEC reporting filings, including materials for Investor Relations
  • Participate in system developments, implementations, and enhancements
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in financial reporting and analysis, and effectively implement these enhancements
  • Quickly learn various financial systems, including Oracle, TM1, GL Wand, Carta AP, and PBCS
  • Coordinate with both external and internal auditors, including SOX testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as FP&A, Treasury, and Tax

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, with a blend of public and private accounting preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Extensive experience with major financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets; prior experience in report modeling is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including pivot tables and complex formulas)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial results analysis
  • Previous experience with Oracle and TM1 is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage details and multitask in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $90,000 annually. Compensation is determined during the interview process based on the candidate's experience and skills in relation to internal peers and market benchmarks for the role's scope and responsibilities.
