Team and Position
Crédit Agricole CIB is recognized as one of the leading banking institutions globally. Our New York-based Leveraged Finance team plays a crucial role in the origination and execution of leveraged buyouts (LBOs) in collaboration with prominent Private Equity firms across North America. Additionally, the team manages financing for leveraged (non-investment grade) corporations through loans and high-yield bonds.
The team is also responsible for event-driven financing related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and initial public offerings (IPOs) for Investment Grade clients, as well as structured financing transactions in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, including infrastructure-related deals with Infrastructure Funds across North America and Latin America.
As we build on our recent achievements, we are expanding our team to support our ambitious growth objectives. We are looking to fill an analyst position that will provide immediate involvement in live transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior team members in the origination, structuring, and execution of transactions for Corporate and Sponsor clients within the leveraged finance and TMT sectors.
  • Identify financing solutions for clients across various debt capital markets, including bank, institutional, Term Loan B, and secured and unsecured high-yield bond markets.
  • Contribute to internal and external deal processes, ensuring compliance with deal documentation, credit, and underwriting approvals.
  • Prepare marketing materials and pitch books for both sponsor and corporate clients.
  • Monitor and assist the team in evaluating primary and secondary capital market developments; manage the assimilation of related intelligence for client-ready market updates and guidance discussions.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, financial modeling, and preparation of credit requests and financial analyses.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff within the team.
  • Prepare capital structure analyses for new and existing clients, including evaluations of comparable transactions and market data.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams, including interest & FX hedging, liability management, securitization, ECM, M&A, as well as coverage, credit, and legal teams as necessary.
  • Gain exposure to all stages of transactions, including negotiation and execution of term sheets, commitment documents, and credit documents in coordination with internal and external legal counsel.
  • Monitor the existing client loan portfolio for credit quality and financial performance, identifying potential new transaction and refinancing opportunities.

Academic Qualification / Specialty

Relevant academic background (BA/BS degree with economics/finance coursework, or master degree – MSc Finance or MBA).

Experience

Ideally 1-2 years of experience in a similar leveraged finance origination and execution environment; direct high-yield experience and/or TMT vertical experience will be particularly valued.

Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Prior experience in building cash-flow models, financial analysis, and corporate strategy
- Team player with experience working as part of deal teams
- Reliability, attention to detail, and quality outputs, with the ability to work against deadlines in a demanding environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (modeling with Excel, presentations with PowerPoint); Bloomberg experience is a strong positive
- Fluency in a second language (particularly Portuguese, Spanish, or French) is a positive.
