Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Investment Banking Analyst to join our capital markets team. This role requires in-office presence at our headquarters, where you will collaborate closely with senior bankers and leaders within the firm. The ideal candidate is driven, possesses a strong work ethic, and is eager to tackle the challenges of our dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of transactions, focusing primarily on investment-grade bonds, along with equities and hybrid securities.
- Develop pitch-book materials, respond to requests for proposals (RFPs), and prepare detailed case studies for deals.
- Maintain essential client and transaction databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Collaborate with various departments, including fixed income trading, equities, tax-exempt finance, and asset management, to enhance the marketing of our services.
- Coordinate with external transaction teams from leading law firms and other financial institutions.
- Possess a minimum of months of relevant experience in investment banking or a related sector.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively under pressure.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg is advantageous.
- Must obtain SIE and Series 79 licenses within six months of employment; Series 63 and 7 licenses are a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
At SWS, we are dedicated to fair and transparent compensation practices. The target total fixed compensation for this role ranges from $95,000 to $125,000, with final compensation determined by the candidate's unique combination of skills, knowledge, and experience. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. We offer a competitive benefits package designed to support the health and financial well-being of our employees and their families.
