Position Overview

Watson Civil Construction, Inc. is a prominent contractor in the heavy/highway sector, focusing on FDOT projects, extensive site infrastructure, underground utilities, and roadway construction. With a workforce of around 300 employees across Florida, we are a vibrant and expanding organization currently in search of a skilled individual for the role of Accounting Clerk.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Accounting Department with Accounts Payable and Receivable tasks.
  • Assist in Payroll processing and General Accounting activities, including journal entries and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage fixed asset and inventory tracking.
  • Prepare Notices to Owner and perform other administrative tasks to aid the accounting team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction accounting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Office 365; knowledge of construction ERP systems, particularly Viewpoint Spectrum, is advantageous.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in a Heavy Civil Contractor environment is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
