Additionally, this role involves assisting with a wide range of accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, journal entries, reconciliations, and other administrative responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and uphold precise records and reports for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities.
  • Assist in audit processes by supplying necessary documentation and records to auditors.
  • Evaluate and suggest enhancements to payroll accounting software, systems, and methodologies.
  • Conduct general cost accounting and related functions.
  • Oversee the coding of all A/P and A/R entries to ensure reconciliation and month-end billing accuracy.
  • Manage the accounts payable process, assigning tasks to support staff as required.
  • Perform forensic accounting and reconciliations when necessary.
  • Provide assistance for intricate loan transactions to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is mandatory.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, including preparation, balancing, and internal controls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, alongside strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a workstation and engaging with a computer.
  • Ability to frequently lift or move items weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Capability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Travel Requirements: As necessary; potential overnight travel is less than 10%.
