Position Overview:

Vitis Energy, LLC is on the lookout for a dedicated Staff Accountant to deliver a proactive and engaging experience within a diverse corporate structure. This position presents significant avenues for career advancement and skill enhancement. The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in generating and analyzing monthly financial statements, executing month-end closing tasks, and conducting account reconciliations across various subsidiaries. Additionally, this role includes assisting with a wide range of accounting responsibilities, such as managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, journal entries, reconciliations, and other administrative duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain precise records and reports for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities.
  • Assist in audit processes by supplying necessary documentation and records to auditors.
  • Propose enhancements to payroll accounting software, systems, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct general cost accounting and related tasks.
  • Oversee the coding of all A/P and A/R entries to ensure proper reconciliation and month-end billing.
  • Manage the accounts payable process, assigning tasks to support staff as needed.
  • Engage in forensic accounting and reconciliations when required.
  • Provide analytical support for intricate loan transactions to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting practices, including preparation, balancing, and internal controls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.

Physical Demands:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a workstation and engaging with a computer.
  • Ability to frequently lift or move items weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Capability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Travel Requirements: As necessary; potential overnight travel is less than 10%.
