Position Overview:

Vitis Energy, LLC is on the lookout for a dedicated Staff Accountant to engage in a hands-on role within a diverse corporate structure. This position provides significant opportunities for career advancement and skill enhancement. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in generating and analyzing monthly financial statements, executing month-end closing activities, and conducting account reconciliations across various business units. Additionally, this role will involve assisting with a wide range of accounting responsibilities, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, journal entries, reconciliations, and various administrative duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain precise records and reports for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions.
  • Assist in audit processes by supplying necessary documentation and records to auditors.
  • Propose enhancements to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
  • Conduct general cost accounting and related tasks.
  • Oversee the coding of all A/P and A/R entries to ensure accurate reconciliation and month-end billing.
  • Manage the accounts payable process, delegating tasks as needed.
  • Perform forensic accounting and reconciliations when required.
  • Support senior management with complex loan transactions.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, including preparation, balancing, and internal controls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Physical Demands:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to frequently lift or move items weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Capability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be necessary; overnight travel is less than 10%.
