Position Overview:
Vitis Energy, LLC is on the lookout for a dedicated Staff Accountant to deliver a proactive and engaging experience within a diverse corporate structure. This position presents significant avenues for career advancement and skill enhancement.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in generating and analyzing monthly financial statements, executing end-of-month closing processes, and conducting account reconciliations across various business units.

This position also involves assisting with a wide range of accounting activities, such as managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, journal entries, reconciliations, and other administrative responsibilities as needed.


Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Maintains precise records and reports for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations.
Assists in audits by supplying necessary documentation and records to auditors.
Identifies and suggests enhancements to payroll accounting software, systems, and methodologies.
Conducts general cost accounting and related functions.
Reviews coding for all A/P and A/R entries to ensure reconciliation and month-end billing accuracy.
Takes ownership of the accounts payable process, assigning tasks as required.
Engages in forensic accounting and reconciliations when necessary.
Provides analytical support for intricate loan transactions to senior management.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills/Experience:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is mandatory.
Comprehensive understanding of accounting practices, including preparation, balancing, and internal controls.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with strong interpersonal skills.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical

Physical Requirements:
Extended periods of sitting at a workstation and utilizing a computer.
Ability to frequently lift or transport items weighing up to 10 pounds.
Capability to occasionally lift or transport items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Travel Requirements:
As necessary; potential for overnight travel.
