Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven VP Sales and Business Development to lead our sales organization, initially in New York and eventually expanding globally. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong relationships with clients, and optimizing the sales team to maximize efficient growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth
    • Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue-generating partnerships with publishers, agencies, and brand clients.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and expansion.
  • Client Relationships
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business and product feature needs.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Sales Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, including Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Account Executives (AEs), and Account Managers (AMs).
    • Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, and methodologies to drive team performance and success.
  • Proposal and Demo Development
    • Develop compelling proposals and demos in response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and other sales opportunities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in sales messaging and materials.
  • Account Management and Sales Methodology
    • Develop and implement account management and sales methodologies to drive sales success and client satisfaction.
    • Monitor client campaign performance and provide periodic analytics and reports to clients.
  • Sales Pipeline Management
    • Manage the sales pipeline of revenue opportunities, including lead generation, qualification, and conversion.
    • Develop and maintain sales forecasts and pipeline reports to ensure accurate revenue projections.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Develop a deep understanding of ResponsiveAds' products and services to effectively communicate their value proposition to clients.
    • Collaborate with the product team to identify and prioritize feature enhancements and new product development.
  • Brand and Culture Representation
    • Represent ResponsiveAds' brand and culture in all interactions with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
    • Embody the company's values and mission in daily work and decision-making.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in growing an ad technology platform business.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital media sales, with a track record of sales and sales management success.
  • A deep understanding of online advertising technologies and landscape trends.
  • An established network of top media publishers, advertising agencies, and/or brands.
  • Some level of technical ability and a strong willingness to understand how innovative ads are produced with ResponsiveAds' product.
  • The ability to effectively analyze, track market opportunity, pipeline, and customer acquisition costs.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform against quotas in a competitive market.
  • A strong, flexible desire to contribute to an innovative start-up environment.
