Membership Engagement Specialist

The **Membership Engagement Specialist** plays a vital role in enhancing fundraising initiatives and providing exceptional support to our valued donors. This position operates under the guidance of the Associate Director of Direct Response Fundraising.

This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work. KQED requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Compensation: $40.00 per hour
The selected candidate will be required to join NABET Local 51.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of direct mail and email campaigns developed both internally and through external agencies.
- Assist in the editing and review of written fundraising content.
- Maintain an organized communication calendar to prevent overlaps in mailings and emails.
- Analyze data samples for fundraising activities and ensure timely revisions are made as necessary.
- Support campaign and project efforts through mailing list management and query generation.
- Engage in donor strategy discussions.
- Provide fifteen hours of dedicated customer service weekly to address incoming inquiries via phone and email, along with critical tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Collaborate with the Donor Relations team on managing thank-you gift inventory.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Strong editing skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the AP style guide.
- Outstanding organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- High proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Drive/Calendars.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A solid understanding of KQED's mission and an awareness of its programs and community benefits.
