Job Overview

The Membership Engagement Specialist plays a pivotal role in fostering connections among Members and enhancing overall membership through proactive engagement and nominations. This position is dedicated to cultivating a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere by warmly welcoming Members and addressing their needs, inquiries, or guidance while on the premises. The individual in this role is expected to be present on the floor, adhering to the established policies and procedures. Building strong relationships with Members, management, and staff is essential to ensure an exceptional experience and a harmonious environment.

Key Responsibilities

The following outlines the primary functions of this role, though additional tasks may be assigned as necessary:

Service Duties
  • Welcome all Members and guests with warmth and professionalism, guiding them to their destinations as required.
  • Actively seek to expand membership by nurturing nominations from influential Members and community leaders.
  • Facilitate introductions of approved guests to the club and advocate for their membership from your network.
  • Organize and lead new Member orientations, including tours and informational sessions.
  • Coordinate small networking and social events to promote Member interactions.
  • Be a familiar presence for Members throughout their visits.
  • Connect Members with one another to foster a sense of community.
  • Ensure a seamless experience for VIPs from arrival to departure.
  • Oversee the execution of opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor service quality to Members and guests, ensuring a polished yet approachable experience.
  • Address any disturbances from guests or Members and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Maintain open communication with all relevant departments to guarantee smooth service.
  • Participate in Nominee Open Houses and provide feedback on new Member applicants.
Operational Knowledge
  • Stay informed about Member Events and activities, promoting comprehensive experiences across various offerings.
  • Regularly assess the environment in all areas, ensuring optimal conditions.
  • Assist with special requests across different outlets.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the club's history, ethos, and offerings.
  • Be aware of daily dining reservations and events, planning for any special requests accordingly.
  • Understand all hotel outlets and public areas, including operational hours and pricing.
Team Relations
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and employee satisfaction.
  • Support employee morale among front-of-house staff.
  • Assist in recruiting qualified candidates for open positions.
Essential Skills
  • Outgoing and personable demeanor, with a strong presence on the floor.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Capability to inspire and motivate team members while promoting teamwork.

Minimum Requirements
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and major events.
  • Preferred college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of experience in luxury hospitality.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Ability to lead and foster teamwork.
  • Must meet legal age requirements.
Working Environment

The role requires physical, visual, and auditory capabilities to perform essential functions, including:

  • Frequent interaction with Members and guests.
  • Ability to adapt to varying noise levels and environmental conditions.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Capacity to respond to visual and auditory cues.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift as needed.
  • Ability to navigate all areas of the property.

Salary: $90,000
