Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Auditor (Information Technology) to join our team at the Department of State. As a Performance Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits and evaluations of information technology systems and programs to ensure compliance with Government Auditing Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement complex IT audit plans and programs to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of information technology systems and programs.
  • Conduct performance audits to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present audit reports to management and other stakeholders, highlighting findings and justifying recommendations.
  • Interpret and apply pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to specific audits.
  • Collaborate with other auditors and stakeholders to ensure that audit findings and recommendations are implemented effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in auditing, business administration, finance, public administration, or accounting.
  • At least 4 years of experience in performance auditing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Government Auditing Standards and relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Professional certification as a Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Public Accountant.
  • Experience with IT audit software and tools.
