Position Overview:
In this role as a Senior Compliance Auditor, you will take charge of executing external audits and various assignments that involve intricate accounting systems utilized by global enterprises engaged in the import and export of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will encompass:

  • Leading, planning, and coordinating audits with internal and external stakeholders, while exercising significant autonomy.
  • Assigning audit tasks and providing mentorship to junior auditors and team members.
  • Reviewing audit documentation and reports to ensure compliance with established standards and policies.
  • Presenting complex audit findings to diverse audiences effectively.
  • Drafting comprehensive reports and communicating results to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Conducting thorough research on import/export regulations, trade policies, and legal interpretations to develop substantial findings.
  • Performing risk assessments and evaluating internal controls to determine the risk level associated with audited entities.
  • Utilizing various audit techniques to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Employing statistical sampling methods to identify audit populations and project findings with confidence.

Requirements:
To qualify for this position, candidates must be U.S. Citizens and meet the following conditions:

  • Must have primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.
  • May be required to pass a background investigation.
  • Adhere to the organization's drug-free workplace policies.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, or a related field, supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in accounting courses. Alternatively, a combination of education and experience in accounting is acceptable.

Experience:
To qualify for this position, candidates should have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, including:

  • Leading complex audits of large corporations in accordance with recognized auditing standards.
  • Researching and applying relevant laws and policies to develop clear audit reports.
  • Conducting high-profile assignments that support investigations of negligence and fraud.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior auditors.
