Position Overview:
As a key member of the auditing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of various programs within the organization. Your expertise will contribute to the ongoing efforts to enhance operational effectiveness and safeguard resources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in preliminary surveys and participate in both entrance and exit conferences.
- Conduct thorough examinations of accounting systems, internal controls, and management practices relevant to the audit process.
- Utilize advanced audit techniques, including statistical sampling, to assess compliance and performance.
- Maintain comprehensive audit documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
- Determine appropriate audit procedures and lead full-cycle audits of varying complexity.
- Develop and present detailed audit findings and recommendations to enhance program operations.
- Collaborate with audit managers to address deficiencies and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all qualification requirements, including educational credentials and any selective placement factors. Education must be from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Specialized Experience:
- For GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level, demonstrating knowledge and skills relevant to auditing functions.
- For GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, showcasing advanced capabilities in audit report preparation and problem resolution.
