To qualify for this role, candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- A degree in accounting or a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration, including at least 24 semester hours in accounting.
- A combination of education and experience totaling at least four years in accounting or a related discipline.
Additionally, candidates should possess:
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service or comparable roles in the private sector.
- Demonstrated ability to apply accounting and auditing principles effectively.
- Experience in conducting integrated analyses of complex operations and accounting systems.
This position primarily involves office work, with occasional onsite audits at various commissary locations. The role may require some physical activity, including walking to validate inventories and observe operational procedures.
Additional InformationThis position is eligible for telework as per agency policy, but remote work is not available. Candidates must also meet specific time-in-grade requirements if they are current or former federal employees.
