Position Summary

The Clinical Services Supervisor (CSS) plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare by fostering an environment that prioritizes exceptional patient-centered care and clinical services. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient workflows for clinical personnel by overseeing quality standards and productivity objectives. Additionally, the CSS will facilitate staff development by exemplifying and promoting the core values of the organization. Key responsibilities encompass staff management, clinical administration, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the scheduling and shift coverage of medical and lab assistants to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Facilitate orientation for new hires and provide ongoing training for clinic personnel, including proficiency assessments.
  • Monitor training compliance for support staff to ensure they meet job requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Assign medical assistants to healthcare providers and care teams based on continuity of care and workload demands.
  • Collaborate with management to prepare agendas for departmental and site meetings.
  • Coordinate logistics for medical staff meetings, including presentations from pharmaceutical representatives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports at 90-day and annual intervals.
  • Work with management and HR to provide timely performance feedback and counseling.
  • Ensure lab assistants complete necessary documentation and logs in collaboration with lab management.
  • Monitor the Electronic Medical Records System to ensure accurate documentation of care transformation activities.
  • Match new patients with appropriate providers to enhance continuity of care.
  • Provide guidance on policies, procedures, and funding sources to support staff operations.
  • Assist in developing operational policies and procedures for clinical services.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver comprehensive healthcare solutions.
  • Oversee the patient satisfaction survey process to ensure appropriate distribution.
  • Manage inventory systems for clinical supplies and equipment as necessary.
  • Enhance patient experience through courteous and accurate service delivery.
  • Share accountability for patient health outcomes by coordinating with care teams.
  • Instill confidence in our care and facilities among patients and stakeholders.

Supervisory Duties

  • Make recommendations regarding hiring, transfers, rewards, disciplinary actions, or terminations.
  • Assess training needs and promote professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct team meetings to enhance communication, address needs, and foster collaboration.
  • Evaluate and develop team performance through competency assessments.
  • Inform the team about organizational initiatives and promote the mission and goals.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Completion of project Leap is preferred (Internals Only).
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish or English/Arabic) is preferred based on site needs.

Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong composition and proofreading abilities.
  • Ability to interpret various forms of instructions, including written, oral, and diagrammatic.
  • Knowledge and experience in monitoring performance metrics.
  • Capability to function at the highest level according to credentials and competencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally and ethically.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Neighborhood Healthcare offers a comprehensive benefits package, including partially company-paid medical, dental, and vision plans, generous vacation time, holidays, sick/personal time, volunteer time off, a 403b retirement plan, and various health and wellness initiatives.

Salary range: $70,000 to $91,000 annually, based on experience. This is an exempt position.
