Role Summary

The Medical Assistant will perform a blend of administrative and clinical duties, collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to enhance patient experiences and clinic efficiency. This position may involve travel between locations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Understand and operate within the scope of practice for Medical Assistants.
  2. Manage patient flow and assist in scheduling, ensuring timely communication regarding any delays.
  3. Prepare for patient visits by reviewing medical histories and relevant test results.
  4. Accurately identify patients and conduct intake assessments, including vital signs and medical histories.
  5. Support healthcare providers during medical procedures and ensure all necessary authorizations are in place.
  6. Administer medications and provide patient education under the supervision of licensed providers.
  7. Document clinical procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
Qualifications
  1. Completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent experience is preferred.
  2. Experience with electronic health records is advantageous.
  3. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is required.
Skills and Attributes
  1. Strong motivation to learn and grow within the healthcare field.
  2. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  3. Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  4. Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Work Schedule
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Monday through Friday
