The facility offers a wide array of specialty services, including open-heart surgery and neuroscience care. It is also recognized as a designated STEMI Receiving Center and Stroke Ready Hospital by the Emergency Medical Services Agency, with the Joint Commission designating it as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care Management: Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the Emergency Department, ensuring 24-hour management.
- Administrative Leadership: Provide strategic direction for nursing personnel development and operational management in collaboration with support services.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with HCAPS, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and physician satisfaction metrics.
- Team Development: Foster a collaborative environment, addressing staff needs and resolving issues to enhance patient care.
- Budget Oversight: Assist in budget preparation, monitor expenses, and manage productivity effectively.
- Policy Development: Create and implement policies that promote service excellence and maintain a positive work environment.
- Human Resource Management: Oversee recruitment, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: 5-7 years of clinical experience in Emergency Services and a minimum of 3 years in acute care nursing leadership.
- Licenses/Certifications: A current RN license in California, along with BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications within 90 days of hire.
