Job Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the accurate and timely filing of regulatory reports with the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Department of Transportation (DOT). This role will also generate consolidated monthly internal financial statements and perform complex accounting tasks such as investments and stock compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports to the SEC on Form 10-Q and Form 10-K, as well as other ad-hoc reporting forms.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations, Financial Reporting & Analysis, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of external reporting deliverables.
  • Prepare financial reports to the DOT on Form 41 and related schedules.
  • Conduct federal and international financial surveys and regulatory reporting.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow statements.
  • Provide schedules and support for internal monthly financial statements and reporting packages.
  • Consolidate subsidiaries' financial data.
  • Account for investments and stock compensation.
  • Prepare 401K financial statements and coordinate plan audit.
  • Research technical accounting issues as needed.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and provide regular updates to team members and leadership.
  • Assist with the implementation of Climate Disclosure rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate.
  • Three years of experience in a related field.
  • Solid understanding of accounting theory and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of accuracy through attention to detail.
  • Available for occasional overnight travel.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in public accounting or in a financial reporting capacity with an SEC registrant.
  • Proactive attitude and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a team and independently, with a willingness to take on responsibility as needed.
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills.

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice.
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance.
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
