This encompasses a substantial capital program aimed at enhancing the living conditions within the housing portfolio.The A&CM Division is committed to delivering extensive repairs and improvements through innovative financing, collaboration with residents, strategic planning, and efficient project management.
Furthermore, the Division is focused on future-proofing the housing portfolio by integrating advanced building materials, construction techniques, and technology, thereby enhancing the quality of life for residents while optimizing building performance.
The Strategic Services sector consists of several teams that provide essential business services and promote operational excellence throughout A&CM.Key functions include capital planning, financial management, project management support, vendor and contract management, and business intelligence services.
Role DescriptionThe Business Operations team within Strategic Services is seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist to join its Logistics Unit.
Reporting to the Logistics Administrator, the successful candidate will utilize independent judgment to execute a variety of logistical and administrative functions.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Act as the primary customer service representative for A&CM by directing service requests to the appropriate experts.
- Serve as the receptionist for the A&CM location.
- Generate reports and analyze data related to the A&CM Customer Service Mailbox and Logistics Database.
- Provide customer-centric logistical support across A&CM and various departments, including submitting requests and ordering supplies.
- Act as the liaison for the A&CM Vehicle Fleet.
- Designated as the Division's Oracle Creator for requisition creation.
- Assist in the procurement of goods and services.
- Support the processing of payments following the creation of Purchase Orders and receipt of goods/services.
- Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of staff.
- Help track and monitor inventory.
- Facilitate the receiving, distribution, and delivery of supplies and equipment.
- Provide backup support for maintaining and tracking the Division's commercial credit card usage.
- Assist stakeholders in responding to information requests.
- Candidates must have permanent civil service status in the title of Principal Administrative Associate to apply.
- Interagency transfers into the City of New York are not permitted if there is an active promotion list for the same title.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and three years of progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, including one year in an administrative capacity or supervising staff.
- An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited institution and four years of relevant experience, including one year of supervisory experience.
- A high school diploma or equivalent and five years of relevant experience, including one year of supervisory experience.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may be considered, but all candidates must possess the required year of administrative or supervisory experience.
