About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Specialist to join our team at Penda Aiken, Inc. As a Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of financial tasks, including reconciling contract financial information, reviewing vendor invoices, and preparing financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile contract financial information using data from multiple financial systems.
  • Accounts Payable: Review vendor invoices, prepare vouchers, and perform data entry.
  • Journal Entries: Perform journal entries as required.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce financial reports for supervisor approval using Oracle Discoverer and other systems.
  • Online Payment Correction: Perform transactions related to online payment correction due to liens.
  • Accounts Payable Unit Filing: Assist with Accounts Payable Unit filing.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of full-time experience in accounting.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Accounts payable procedures and Enterprise Resource Systems that use integrated financial modules.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of Oracle e-business Suite financials and integrated systems and reporting, ability to work independently and solve problems, good time management skills and adherence to deadlines.
