Job Description

Job Summary:

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our programs and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a quality assurance program to ensure compliance with TSA, NYS, and NYC policies, directives, and laws.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled audits of ICF, IRA, and Family Care homes to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Investigate incidents and allegations of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Develop and implement a training program for employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and Assistant Program Managers to improve program services and reduce spending.
  • Oversee the collective purchasing program to increase quality and reduce spending.
  • Work closely with the DDS GNY Property department to ensure all locations are safe and well-maintained.
  • Discipline employees when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records and reports regarding resident health and safety.
  • Submit documents to IRMA and serve as a liaison between OPWDD and the Justice Center.
  • Supervise and coordinate reviews with QA Specialist and maintenance team to ensure safety and safeguards are implemented.
  • Review incidents and investigations and provide recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or more than 5 years' experience in management, leadership, or Human Resources management.
  • At least 5 years' experience of proven staff supervision.
  • Demonstrates a high level of respect and consideration for residents being served.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates people skills with experience working in customer service.
  • Has respect and consideration for residents being served.
  • Certified investigator.
  • Valid Driver's license preferred.
  • SCIP-R and First Aid/CPR Certified.
