We are currently seeking a full-time Client Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess experience in working with individuals who have been formerly incarcerated, have encountered homelessness, or are in recovery from substance use disorders.

The Client Support Specialist will be responsible for delivering case management services, conducting program intake assessments, leading job readiness workshops, coordinating volunteer initiatives, managing partnerships with on-site service providers, overseeing mock interview sessions, and engaging in community outreach efforts. This role will report directly to the Program Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload by guiding participants towards achieving their vocational objectives, making necessary referrals, maintaining communication with referring case managers, tracking progress in vocational and educational pursuits, coaching on job search strategies and interview techniques, and providing individual counseling.
  • Participate in bi-weekly case conferences to discuss participant progress.
  • Conduct intake assessments to determine the eligibility of candidates in collaboration with the intake team.
  • Organize volunteer events in partnership with corporate groups.
  • Facilitate on-site services provided by volunteers and partner organizations, including financial coaching and recovery support.
  • Coordinate mock interview sessions for participants.
  • Lead classes on job-related topics, encompassing workplace skills, interview preparation, daily living skills, computer literacy, and other relevant subjects.
  • Assist in delivering presentations about ACE at partner locations and participate in off-site recruitment activities.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work, CRC, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in social services is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
  • Strong presentation skills, with comfort in facilitating classes and engaging with groups of volunteers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and internet research.
  • A commitment to supporting formerly homeless individuals in their journey towards economic independence and the pursuit of their long-term vocational aspirations.
