The Oregon Center for Electrochemistry (OCE) is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of pioneers in electrochemical science and technology. Our mission encompasses a premier program of both fundamental and applied research, alongside distinctive immersive coursework in electrochemical science and engineering. We collaborate with a network of industry, national laboratories, and academic partners to foster a rich ecosystem of university research and innovation, offering educational programs at the BS, MS, and Ph.D. levels designed by University of Oregon faculty and staff.

Our research integrates advanced modeling and simulation, materials science, and characterization techniques, grounded in core principles of electrochemistry and device engineering.

Role Overview
The Oregon Center for Electrochemistry (OCE) is in search of a meticulous, flexible, and organized individual to deliver high-level administrative assistance for the Center. This role necessitates the capacity to operate autonomously, exhibit sound judgment, and apply innovative problem-solving abilities.

The Research Administrative Coordinator will provide guidance to OCE faculty and researchers in the preparation of grant proposals and ensure compliance with post-award grant and contract management, adhering to funding agency agreements, university policies, and established accounting standards.

This position involves interpreting federal and state regulations and offering support to ensure adherence to legal, policy, and technical standards.

Collaboration with the OCE Managing Director on the Electrochemistry program is essential, particularly in areas such as student recruitment and the onboarding of research staff.

Additionally, this individual will play a key role in organizing and successfully executing various events, including the OCE Fall Conference, the National Science Foundation CCI Summer Boot Camp Network, and the OCE Research Experience for Undergraduates program.

Essential Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education.
  • A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in business, finance, or research administration, including project planning experience.
