Job Description

The Senior Sales Manager position is responsible for leading the profitable sales growth of both the regional business and the commercial and residential businesses by developing account and market plans that focus on Uponor independent manufacturer representatives on the best opportunities.

The Sr. Sales Manager will be the primary regional sales contact for the Marketing Segment Team and Uponor independent manufacturer representatives. This role will ensure collaboration on segment strategies and account and market development plans.

The Sr. Sales Manager will lead the business cadence with regular monthly updates and quarterly business reviews to ensure visibility and accountability for the execution of account and market plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Sales Growth: Ensure achievement of annual sales and gross profit goals by leading the regional agency and factory teams in developing and executing Uponor sales strategies by account and market.
  • Coach and Develop: Provide ongoing coaching and development to agency sales staff and sales team on market knowledge, product knowledge, and selling skills. Schedule and hold regular monthly updates with agency principals, team meetings, plan joint field travel with agency sales staff, and conduct quarterly performance reviews with each agency.
  • Utilize Sales Tools: Utilize as a tool to manage the business; conduct regular pipeline reviews with each agency sales team and account manager, monitor and coach individual utilization of to meet business standards. Provide key forecast information to the business through opportunity details.
  • Review and Approve: Review and approve customer program requests from the agency sales teams, including Special Pricing Agreements, rebate programs, and joint marketing investments.
  • Develop Executive Relationships: Develop and maintain executive level relationships with key customers in addition to the account manager relationships. Leverage these relationships to provide market insights to the business.
  • Contribute to Business Success: Seek out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives; perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years' related experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of major account selling, and the construction market is required. Experience in wholesale distribution and an understanding of the independent manufacturer rep model is required. Must have excellent communication, planning, and presentation skills.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 75% monthly.
