About the Role

The San Francisco Giants are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sales Manager to join our team and drive the strategic development of our event venues. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for growing our meeting and events division by engaging with past and prospective clients across various sectors and securing programs throughout the calendar year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales plan to drive new business and increase revenue
  • Target, develop, and close strategic sales targets
  • Build new prospects through consistent networking and sales calls
  • Develop an annual sales plan focused on growth and innovation
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement campaigns to meet sales targets
  • Manage and lead a sales team to achieve sales goals
  • Work closely with the Vice President to drive sales strategy, including areas of emphasis and specific campaigns
  • Identify and pursue direct outbound sales efforts and business development opportunities
  • Forecast sales figures and prepare regular reports for management
  • Develop annual strategic plans and dedicated initiatives to further specific projects and initiatives
  • Engage with current and prospective clients to build relationships and provide excellent client service
  • Lead or contribute to the conceptualization of new initiatives or programs to strengthen or create revenue streams
  • Evaluate current partner activation plans and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Represent the San Francisco Giants at industry tradeshows, sales missions, meetings, and events
  • Refine sales tactics and approach, including materials used and lead generation opportunities
  • Prepare and lead site visits and presentations of all Giants Enterprises properties
  • Negotiate and complete contracts, ensuring deliverables are met
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Proven track record of sales success with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Integrity, intelligence, and energy
  • Superior communication skills (written and verbal) with exceptional presentation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and as a team player
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Focus on building and managing a sales pipeline with the ability to close new business
  • Ability to cultivate lasting relationships with clients to grow brand loyalty
  • Results and revenue-focused with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive and able to think quickly, creatively, and strategically
