Position: Cannabis Retail Specialist

Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time opportunities available
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential

Qualifications:

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and successfully pass a background screening.

Your Role:

  • Welcome each visitor warmly, ensuring a smooth check-in process and executing transactions accurately through the point of sale system
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of all offerings to provide tailored cannabis solutions for each customer
  • Educate customers on the various cannabis strains and infused products available
  • Listen attentively to customer needs to deliver exceptional service
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for cannabis and its benefits, contributing to a supportive environment
  • Uphold a clean, safe, and visually appealing retail space
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, labeling, packaging, and restocking

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of resolving minor technical issues

  • Ability to manage behavior and remain composed under pressure
  • Multilingual skills are advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense cannabis products in accordance with strict compliance guidelines
  • Become proficient in using Metrc and the point of sale system for transactions
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of cannabis products, including consumption methods and storage requirements
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and follow established money management protocols
  • Provide engaging and efficient assistance to customers on the sales floor
  • Keep the retail area organized and presentable
  • Support opening and closing procedures as needed
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to ensure product availability
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management
  • Be flexible with scheduling to meet business needs, including various shifts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours
  • Demonstrate experience in a retail or hospitality environment
  • Maintain awareness of customer flow and report any issues to management
  • Prioritize safety at all times
  • Adapt to outdoor work conditions as required

Overview:

The Cannabis Retail Specialist plays a crucial role in guiding customers through their shopping experience and ensuring compliance during product dispensing. This position is responsible for delivering the exact products requested by customers while maintaining a high standard of service. The Specialist is knowledgeable about cannabis and can confidently address customer inquiries regarding usage and effects. This role is supported by fellow team members and supervised by management.

The Specialist embodies a friendly and professional demeanor, using appropriate terminology to represent the brand effectively. They are well-versed in the product offerings and are passionate about sharing their knowledge with customers. The Specialist is dedicated to creating a positive atmosphere and ensuring that every customer feels valued during their visit.

They follow all training and guidelines provided by management, adapting to changes as necessary. The Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring that their assigned cash till balances at the end of each shift. They are committed to teamwork and supporting the overall success of the retail environment.

A Typical Day:

Your day begins with preparing your workspace and receiving your daily assignments. You will engage with customers, providing them with a welcoming experience and assisting them with their purchases. Throughout your shift, you will balance customer service with operational efficiency, ensuring a smooth flow of guests in the retail space.

At the end of your shift, you will reconcile your cash till and prepare for the next day, reflecting on the positive interactions you had with customers.
