Job Overview

CareWell Urgent Care is in search of a reliable full-time Patient Registration Specialist for our urgent care facility. This position serves as the initial point of contact for patients, and it is essential to create a professional and welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a friendly demeanor, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Operational Hours: Our centers operate seven days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM. Full-time schedules consist of three-hour shifts, including every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

The Patient Registration Specialist will:

  • Welcome patients warmly and assist them as needed.
  • Collect and verify demographic and insurance details from patients.
  • Utilize the computer system to generate fee slips and ensure accuracy.
  • Provide necessary forms for patients to complete and secure signatures.
  • Keep patients informed about their account status.
  • Notify clinical staff when patients are ready for consultation.
  • Process payments, including insurance co-pays.
  • Coordinate patient records with other clinic locations as required.
  • Maintain logs of daily activities, including patient counts and financial transactions.
  • Ensure an organized and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:

Applicants should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a medical or retail setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with medical software is a plus.
