Position Overview

Role Summary: The Financial Aid Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the distribution of various financial assistance programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide guidance and support to students regarding the financial aid process and their awards.
  2. Establish and enforce policies and procedures to deliver efficient services while adhering to federal and state regulations.
  3. Oversee the coordination of Pell Grants and Direct Student Loans, ensuring accurate processing between the institution and the Department of Education.
  4. Manage federal campus-based aid programs effectively.
  5. Prepare and submit annual reports, including the FISAP and Nursing Student Loan Annual Operating Report.
  6. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial aid.
  7. Coordinate audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to standards.
  8. Collaborate with the Bursar to guarantee precise financial aid disbursement and student billing.
  9. Advise students on Satisfactory Academic Progress criteria and assist with special circumstances evaluations.
  10. Conduct Return of Title IV calculations as necessary.
  11. Supervise the federal and college work-study programs.
  12. Develop and update financial aid publications for student awareness.
  13. Work with various departments to enhance enrollment and retention initiatives.
  14. Provide counsel on academic decisions affecting financial aid and student accounts.
