Role Summary: The Financial Aid Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the distribution of various financial assistance programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide guidance and support to students regarding the financial aid process and their awards.
  2. Develop and enforce policies that guarantee efficient service delivery while adhering to federal and state regulations.
  3. Oversee the processing of Pell Grants and Direct Student Loans, coordinating effectively with the Department of Education.
  4. Manage campus-based student aid programs and ensure proper administration.
  5. Coordinate the annual filing of necessary reports, including FISAP and Nursing Student Loan Operating Reports.
  6. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements at both federal and state levels.
  7. Facilitate audits and compliance reviews, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  8. Collaborate with the Bursar to ensure the precise disbursement of financial aid and student billing processes.
  9. Advise students on Satisfactory Academic Progress and its implications for financial aid.
  10. Evaluate special circumstances and make professional judgment decisions as needed.
  11. Calculate Returns of Title IV funds accurately.
  12. Oversee the federal and college work-study programs.
  13. Update and develop financial aid publications for student awareness.
  14. Work with various departments to design and implement enrollment and retention initiatives.
  15. Provide counseling on academic decisions affecting financial aid and student accounts.
