Role Summary: The Financial Aid Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the distribution of various financial assistance programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support to students regarding the financial aid process and their awards.
- Develop and enforce policies that guarantee efficient service delivery while adhering to federal and state regulations.
- Oversee the processing of Pell Grants and Direct Student Loans, coordinating effectively with the Department of Education.
- Manage campus-based student aid programs and ensure proper administration.
- Coordinate the annual filing of necessary reports, including FISAP and Nursing Student Loan Operating Reports.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements at both federal and state levels.
- Facilitate audits and compliance reviews, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the Bursar to ensure the precise disbursement of financial aid and student billing processes.
- Advise students on Satisfactory Academic Progress and its implications for financial aid.
- Evaluate special circumstances and make professional judgment decisions as needed.
- Calculate Returns of Title IV funds accurately.
- Oversee the federal and college work-study programs.
- Update and develop financial aid publications for student awareness.
- Work with various departments to design and implement enrollment and retention initiatives.
- Provide counseling on academic decisions affecting financial aid and student accounts.
