Role Summary
The Financial Aid Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the distribution of various financial aid programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Essential Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree is required.
2. A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is necessary.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. Familiarity with EdConnect and EdExpress software is advantageous.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening commitments. The role allows for a hybrid work arrangement, including remote work during designated periods.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide guidance and support to students regarding financial aid processes and awards.
2. Develop and enforce policies to ensure efficient service delivery while adhering to federal and state regulations.
3. Oversee the coordination of Pell Grants and Direct Student Loans, ensuring accurate processing.
4. Manage federal campus-based aid programs effectively.
5. Prepare and submit annual reports, including the FISAP and Nursing Student Loan Annual Operating Report.
6. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements at both federal and state levels.
7. Facilitate audits and compliance reviews, ensuring accurate financial records.
8. Collaborate with the Bursar to ensure precise financial aid disbursement and student billing.
9. Advise students on Satisfactory Academic Progress criteria.
10. Assess special circumstances and make professional judgment decisions.
11. Conduct Return of Title IV calculations as necessary.
12. Supervise the federal and college work-study programs.
13. Create and update financial aid publications for student awareness.
14. Work with various departments to design and implement enrollment and retention initiatives.
15. Provide counsel on financial aid implications related to course changes.
