Overview

The Ladders is seeking a Vice President of Financial Operations to manage all aspects of expense management, budgeting, and accounts payable functions within the organization. The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding leadership capabilities, superior organizational skills, and adept problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the reconciliation of monthly accounts payable, expense reports, and budget forecasts.
  • Evaluate financial statements, budget data, and forecasts.
  • Establish and uphold proper accounting documentation, systems, internal controls, processes, and data integrity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial information in the Oracle general ledger.
  • Serve as a liaison with both internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and addressing any additional requests.
  • Guarantee departmental adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Review lease accounting entries and reconciliations in accordance with ASC 842.
  • Prepare various financial reports and analyses as required.
  • Lead a team consisting of 3 direct reports and 6 indirect reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • CPA or MBA designation is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, preferably within the insurance sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of budgetary and accounting principles (GAAP and Statutory), practices, and policies.
  • Expertise in Multi-Org Oracle Financials, including General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Operating Expenses, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in problem-solving and addressing challenges.
  • Capacity and willingness to collaborate with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience with Oracle, Wings, and Excel4Apps is a plus.
Compensation range: 130-150K
