Position Overview:

The Financial Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the tactical responsibilities typically managed by the Head of Finance and Senior Controller. This position is essential for maintaining the efficiency of daily financial operations, including reporting, compliance, and transaction processing, thus enabling finance leadership to concentrate on strategic transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Documentation:
- Oversee month-end closing processes, ensuring precision and adherence to financial regulations.
- Generate and manage monthly reports for internal and headquarters review.
- Facilitate external audit processes and documentation in collaboration with external audit firms.

Operational Finance Support:
- Ensure accurate financial postings in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist in budget preparation and manage forecasting activities across all supported functional areas.
- Conduct financial analyses, including variance and cost analysis, to inform strategic decision-making.

Ad Hoc Support and Analysis:
- Provide customized financial reporting as needed by the business.
- Execute inventory cycle counts and perform financial compliance assessments.
- Analyze financial data to identify critical issues and assist management in strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Financial Operations or a related field.
- Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in SAP is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within a multinational corporation serving a diverse global clientele.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work schedule – 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Compensation:
The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 – $107,000. Compensation may be influenced by factors such as job location, role scope, qualifications, education, experience, and the complexity or specialization of talent required. This position is also eligible for performance bonuses or sales commissions. ZEISS offers comprehensive benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings options, and paid time off.
