Position Overview:
The Financial Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in facilitating the essential functions typically managed by the Head of Finance and Senior Controller. This position is vital for maintaining the efficiency of daily financial operations, encompassing reporting, compliance, and transaction processing, thereby enabling finance leadership to concentrate on strategic transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Documentation:
- Oversee month-end closing procedures, ensuring precision and adherence to financial regulations.
- Generate and manage monthly reports for internal and headquarters review.
- Collaborate with external audit firms to support audit processes and documentation.
Operational Finance Support:
- Ensure accurate financial postings in line with established protocols.
- Assist in budget preparation and manage forecasting activities across all supported areas.
- Conduct financial analyses, including variance and cost analysis, to inform strategic decision-making.
Ad Hoc Support and Analysis:
- Provide tailored financial reporting as needed by the business.
- Execute inventory cycle counts and financial compliance assessments.
- Analyze financial data to identify critical issues and assist management in strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Financial Operations or a related field.
- Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in SAP is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a multinational corporation with a diverse global clientele.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work schedule – 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Compensation:
The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 – $107,000. The offered pay may be influenced by factors such as job location, role scope, qualifications, education, experience, and the complexity or specialization of talent. This position is also eligible for performance bonuses or sales commissions. ZEISS provides comprehensive benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings options, and paid time off.
