Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • External Reporting: Assist with audits and other external reporting requirements.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, including intercompany transactions.
  • Vendor Management: Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, wire transfers, and electronic payments.
  • Vendor Inquiries: Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status or other accounts payable issues.
  • Intercompany Reconciliation: Reconcile intercompany accounts on a monthly basis and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Cash Management: Assist with daily cash management activities, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash flows, and preparing cash reports.
  • Bank Relationships: Assist with managing bank relationships, including account openings, maintenance, and closing.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist with the preparation of reports for senior management, including cash forecasts, liquidity reports, and bank fee analysis.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in ad hoc projects related to financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on intercompany transactions.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data, experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and accounts payable automation software, knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
