The Sales Account Executive plays a pivotal role in driving new business opportunities, implementing sales strategies, and maintaining ongoing relationships with current clients. This position requires a proactive and motivated individual who thrives on acquiring new customers and expanding sales. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of automation technologies and related equipment, including pumps, flow measurement devices, tanks, and chemical dosing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage existing client accounts, secure orders, and develop new business by strategically organizing daily activities to target potential sales opportunities.
  • Enhance sales efforts by analyzing the current and prospective customer base.
  • Create lists of potential clients for sales outreach using various resources such as industry publications, trade shows, and online platforms.
  • Establish and nurture customer relationships, understand purchasing patterns, and anticipate client needs.
  • Maintain and build rapport with procurement contacts.
  • Prepare and submit quotes and sales orders in accordance with company pricing structures and product information.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication with clients and the production team regarding product delivery and manufacturing concerns.
  • Keep management updated by providing activity reports, including daily call logs, weekly plans, and monthly territory assessments.
  • Monitor market competition by collecting current data on pricing, products, and promotional strategies, and report findings to management.
  • Contribute to team success through effective communication and the establishment of professional relationships both internally and externally.
  • Educate clients on product offerings and highlight key features that add value.
  • Address customer issues by investigating concerns, developing solutions, and providing feedback to management.
  • Enhance professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing industry literature, and engaging with professional networks.
  • Responsible for managing expenses and maintaining accurate records in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma is mandatory.
  • A pre-existing network within the Permian region would significantly enhance candidacy.
  • Strong connections within the oil and gas sector, water/wastewater management, or municipal services.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication abilities are essential.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to acquire new clients and surpass sales targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to engage with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Aptitude for building robust internal and external relationships.
  • Problem-solving capabilities to navigate and overcome challenges.
  • Negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients.
  • Commitment to excellence and achieving sales objectives.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office and related databases.
