Financial Grants Management Advisor

We are in search of a seasoned Financial Advisor to deliver grants and financial oversight training and technical assistance (TTA) across the nation. In this capacity, you will collaborate with U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (OJP) grantees to enhance their financial management capabilities and infrastructure, thereby improving the oversight of federal awards that support victim services, criminal justice, juvenile justice, and justice research initiatives.

* This role is REMOTE. Candidates must be prepared to travel up to 25%. A Public Trust Clearance is required prior to the commencement of employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate financial and grant management resources utilized by Office of Justice Programs grantees.
  • Utilize your expertise in national trends and initiatives, as well as the organizations and individuals leading the field, to implement effective programs and projects.
  • Provide tailored training and technical assistance to federal grantees aiming to enhance their organizational financial management practices.
  • Collaborate with project team members and a diverse array of client representatives, external partners, and subject matter experts to develop innovative tools, resources, and services.
  • Organize and conduct virtual webinars, regional workshops, office hours, and other events designed to elevate grantees' understanding of federal grants financial management requirements.
  • This is a remote position; you will work from home and may need to travel up to 25%.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution.
  • 6+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, federal grants management, business administration, or a related field.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to federal government contract stipulations.
  • This position necessitates a Public Trust security clearance. Candidates will undergo a government security investigation to obtain clearance before starting.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with federal grants financial management regulations and effective grants administration practices.
  • Capability to plan, organize, and manage the delivery of direct technical assistance services; evaluate training curricula; conduct needs assessments; and develop publications.
  • Experience in providing training and technical assistance to American Indians/Alaska Natives, U.S. Territories, or State Administering Agencies.
  • Proven success in managing federal client relationships and deliverables effectively.
  • Experience collaborating with federal/state grantees and a customer-service orientation.
  • Experience in planning, promoting, and facilitating virtual meetings (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom, Webex) and in-person training events.
  • Proficiency in online case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation Range - The final pay for this position is determined by various factors, including relevant work experience, skills, certifications, competencies that align with the specified role, geographic location, education, and certifications, as well as contract provisions related to labor categories specific to the position.

The compensation range for this role, based on full-time employment, is:
$69, $118,765.00
