Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manages the precise and timely processing of transactions related to grant funding.
  • Prepares necessary documentation and handles various requests associated with grant-funded acquisitions and agreements.
  • Reconciles financial expenditures and organizes filing systems for awarded grants.
  • Assists in budget forecasting, financial reporting, and resolving issues related to grants.
  • Provides support for post-award management activities and aids Principal Investigators.
  • Participates in meetings, training sessions, and contributes to the enhancement of research administration resources.
  • Offers backup support to colleagues and takes on additional responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in research or grants administration, accounting, or finance.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles, grant proposal preparation, and agency regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work in teams.
  • Willingness to learn and build positive working relationships.
  • Experience in reviewing and interpreting guidelines and policies.
  • Commitment to customer service, time management, and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in a university environment supporting research activities.
  • Knowledge of university policies and relevant applications.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Banner, Patriot Web, and proposal databases.
