Position Overview:

ICF Olson is in search of a Grants Management Specialist II to join our dynamic team. This role requires a solid background in federal grant compliance, administration, and reporting, or related fields to effectively support various governmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, execution, monitoring, and management of projects from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver expert grant management support.
  • Prepare and maintain meeting agendas, biweekly status updates, and follow-up actions for interactions with external stakeholders.
  • Document processes for both internal and external audiences to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Develop and refine procedures for the effective administration of grant funds.
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of workflow processes, policies, and instructional documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and data management best practices.
  • Identify variances and recommend adjustments to financial data to align with actual activities.
  • Create visual representations such as dashboard mockups, charts, and process flow diagrams.
  • Provide technical assistance to grant recipients and subrecipients in managing their federal grants.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in political science, economics, sociology, or a related field emphasizing both qualitative and quantitative research.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with public sector entities in grant management or regulatory compliance.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel.

Preferred Skills:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience analyzing legal or regulatory documents and summarizing information for diverse audiences.
  • A background in grants management, federal compliance, and reporting.
  • Strong numerical reasoning and advanced Excel skills.
  • Comfort in a cross-functional or matrixed environment.
  • Familiarity with file management systems and data analytics tools.
