Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team at SMS. As an Outside Sales Professional, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with small to medium-sized business owners and presidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for daily sales appointments with business owners and presidents to discuss marketing and securing Business Analysts Survey Agreements.
  • Direct sales efforts to secure new business opportunities and expand existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Business Coordinator to share feedback and new business lead opportunities.
  • Review daily successes and challenges with the Sales Manager to gain sales support and guidance.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of business ownership experience and/or three years of face-to-face direct sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not necessary; we will consider the right experience over a degree.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined with the ability to work effectively with little or no supervision.
  • Outgoing personality with expertise in developing relationships, particularly with business owners, presidents, and CEOs.
  • Good communicator with excellent listening skills and the ability to uncover the real 'pain' a client may be experiencing.
  • Ability to begin work immediately.
