Position Overview

The role of the Unified Communication (UC) Administrator is crucial for maintaining optimal performance and availability of Clayco's collaboration infrastructure. This position focuses on the swift design, testing, and deployment of communication and collaboration solutions, ensuring they are production-ready while offering advanced support to the Service Delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business value by engineering and implementing new features across essential collaboration platforms.
  • Manage collaboration tools such as Cisco Room Kit and the Cisco Webex suite.
  • Lead technology refresh initiatives, support new location setups, and deploy new collaboration tools throughout the organization.
  • Provide remote meeting and event support as required.
  • Design and implement scalable, reliable conference room solutions for enterprise use.
  • Deliver Tier II/III operational support for the UC platform.
  • Assist in the procurement and management of UC hardware and software.
  • Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users.
  • Participate in special projects related to UC and collaboration technologies.
  • Manage and update UC endpoints, ensuring timely software updates.
  • Educate and train users on UC tools and best practices.
  • Support users at various locations.
  • Provide event setup support during evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing within the IT department.
  • Act as an escalation point for incidents.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal leadership and business teams.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including policies, procedures, network diagrams, and user guides.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with Cisco Control Hub and related collaboration technologies.
  • Working knowledge of networking, security best practices, and industry standards.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in designing, testing, and maintaining UC solutions.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM frameworks.
  • Ability to provide Tier 3 support for UC incidents.
  • Strong teamwork, analytical, problem-solving, and self-management skills.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple vendors for hardware and software solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with the capability to gather and analyze detailed functional requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, client-friendly narratives.
  • Ability to present complex data visually in an easily understandable manner.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
