Position Summary: The Business Solutions Partner for the Workforce Development & Continuing Education division is tasked with promoting tailored training solutions to corporate clients. This role involves leading sales initiatives, crafting proposals, and finalizing agreements through collaboration and the establishment of enduring relationships with business leaders and industry professionals. The individual will cultivate effective partnerships by delivering customized educational programs that meet the workforce demands of their clients. This position is accountable for generating a pipeline of new sales opportunities. A high level of expertise in Business Development, Financial Management, Strategic Planning, Account Management, Consultative Selling, and Marketing/Sales Promotion is essential.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in a B2B context as a business development representative or account executive.
  • 2 years of pertinent experience in a service or training sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful sales presentations to clients and prospects.
  • Preferred education and sales training in a business discipline or a blend of experience and training.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Experience with Salesforce is advantageous.

  • Creating new leads through various communication channels including cold calls, emails, and networking events.
  • Effectively managing account relationships throughout the sales cycle, utilizing CRM systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Maintaining a strong professional knowledge of legislative issues, workforce data, industry trends, and future training needs through research and client interactions.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement long-term strategies to address clients' ongoing training needs.
  • Analyzing metrics and data to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales quotas.
  • Communicating sales progress, opportunities, and challenges through regular updates to the Business Solutions team and leadership.
  • Working collaboratively with all team members to meet client needs while employing best practices in business development.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of each program and overall capabilities to effectively address client needs.
