Position Overview: The Business Solutions Partner within the Workforce Development sector is tasked with promoting tailored training solutions to organizations. This role involves leading outreach efforts, crafting proposals, and securing agreements by establishing and nurturing productive relationships with business leaders and industry stakeholders. The individual will develop a robust pipeline of new business opportunities while delivering customized educational programs to meet clients' workforce requirements. Key competencies include Business Development, Financial Oversight, Strategic Planning, Account Management, Consultative Selling, and Marketing.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in a B2B context as a business development representative or account executive.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in a service or training sector.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering sales presentations to clients and prospects.
  • Preferred background in business education and sales training.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Experience with Salesforce is advantageous.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Engage with business prospects and cultivate long-term relationships with industry experts.
  • Identify and promote business solutions to prospective clients focused on workforce training.
  • Generate awareness and demand by establishing a pipeline of qualified training prospects.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts in accordance with established sales processes.
  • Utilize various communication channels to connect with potential clients.
  • Manage account relationships throughout the sales cycle, ensuring data integrity within the CRM system.
  • Stay informed on legislative issues, workforce data, and industry trends through research and networking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies addressing client training needs.
  • Analyze metrics to meet key performance indicators and sales targets.
  • Communicate sales progress and challenges to the Business Solutions team and leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with the Workforce Development team to meet client needs effectively.
  • Maintain knowledge of Workforce Development programs and overall institutional capabilities.
