Position Overview

The HR Director position at Black Mountain Management LLC is a pivotal role that encompasses strategic oversight of HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, and team leadership. This role is essential in crafting HR strategies that align with organizational goals, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that are in sync with the company's objectives to enhance organizational efficiency, talent management, and employee engagement.
  • Lead strategic HR initiatives, including diversity programs, employee feedback mechanisms, process improvements, and the integration of HR technology.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to provide strategic HR counsel, aligning initiatives with departmental objectives and addressing specific needs.
  • Design and execute HR solutions that focus on talent management, organizational structure, succession planning, and change management.
  • Oversee complex employee relations matters, guiding the HR team in managing disputes, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure fair policy application, maintain a positive work atmosphere, and uphold consistent adherence to policies.
  • Lead HR compliance initiatives, staying informed on labor laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure policy compliance.
  • Revise and develop HR policies, conduct audits, and implement strategies to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Provide leadership to the HR team, monitor their performance, support their professional development, and align their goals with departmental objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and high performance within the HR department, emphasizing teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of performance management processes, providing guidance on goal-setting, performance evaluations, and talent development.
  • Identify training needs and offer learning opportunities for HR team members to enhance their skills and competencies.
  • Analyze HR metrics and reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making on HR-related matters.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within HR functions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of progressive HR experience, including significant leadership experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector or related industries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
