Role Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a consultative partner to leaders and employees within a designated business function or learning center, focusing on the development and execution of HR strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness and promote the acquisition and retention of exceptional talent. This role is pivotal in guiding leaders and employees on best practices, company policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives while addressing local business and compliance needs. The HRBP provides coaching on interviewing, hiring, onboarding, employee development, and performance management, while also mitigating risks to the organization and maintaining confidentiality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver daily consultative HR support to assigned leaders and employees, addressing needs and concerns to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and effective change management.
  • Ensure the consistent application of policies, procedures, practices, and company values; collaborate with various Centers of Excellence to implement HR initiatives and drive continuous organizational improvement.
  • Assist leaders in recruitment, onboarding, and employee development efforts; guide leaders in managing performance through timely feedback to cultivate a professional working environment aligned with company culture and vision.
  • Investigate and facilitate the resolution of employee relations matters.
  • Contribute to the delivery of programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing performance culture within engaged teams.
  • Support enterprise Succession Planning by facilitating local talent reviews focused on both technical skills and behavioral competencies to identify top talent, talent gaps, critical roles, and individual development plans.
  • Collaborate with Recruiting to attract top talent to fulfill current and future business needs; work with leaders to identify new position requirements and develop comprehensive onboarding plans for new associates.
  • Interpret, communicate, and execute policy and documentation requirements to ensure compliance with business and local regulations.
  • Utilize HR reporting and dashboards to analyze metrics and, in partnership with the Senior HRBP, identify strategies for continuous improvement within the business function or region.
  • Support ad hoc projects while acting as a liaison between local and functional areas and enterprise HR/L&D.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • PHR/SPHR accreditation or similar HR professional qualification is preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources.

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills; capable of translating complex concepts for individuals at all levels and appropriately challenging stakeholders to positively influence decisions and solutions.

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team; detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timely management of stress.
  • Thorough understanding of HR standards, principles, and best practices; knowledge of labor laws as they pertain to employee relations and employment practices.
  • Proven experience in providing consultative HR partnership in a dynamic professional environment.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, databases, and internet applications; experience with SuccessFactors or other HRIS systems is a plus.
