Internship: Mobile Robotics: Sensing, Planning, and Control Specialist

Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated intern to collaborate in the development and experimental validation of sensing, planning, and control methods in various robotic testbeds. The ideal candidate is enrolled in a Masters/PhD program in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science or related field, with prior experience in motion planning, control, optimization, learning, computer vision, and their application in mobile robots.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with researchers in the development and experimental validation of sensing, planning, and control methods
- Design and implement algorithms for motion planning, control, and optimization
- Develop and test computer vision systems for mobile robots
- Contribute to the development of robotic testbeds and experimental setups
Requirements:
- Proficiency in ROS2, C/C++, and Python programming languages
- Familiarity with MATLAB and its application in robotics
- Strong understanding of robotics, computer vision, and machine learning concepts
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
