Internship Opportunity
Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to engage in research focused on robotic manipulation through visuo-tactile learning. This project aims to improve robotic motor capabilities for complex manipulation tasks by integrating visual and tactile feedback.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in one or more of the following domains:
- Robotic manipulation
- Tactile sensing
- Reinforcement Learning
- Sim-to-real methodologies for manipulation
- Grasping techniques.

We particularly encourage advanced PhD candidates specializing in robotics and engineering, especially those with experience in contact-rich manipulation, to explore this opportunity.

Prior hands-on experience with physical robotic systems, including both vision and tactile sensors, is essential, as the research outcomes will be implemented in real-world hardware.

Proficiency in Python machine learning libraries, such as PyTorch, is required.

A successful internship will lead to the submission of research findings to a prestigious robotics journal in collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs researchers.
