Position Overview

The Box Office Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the ticketing operations at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center. This role is essential in ensuring exceptional customer service, training and managing personnel, addressing issues, and administering the ticketing system. Collaboration with the Director of Booking and venue leadership is crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff and third-party personnel by coordinating activities, developing schedules, providing constructive feedback, and assessing performance.
  • Plan events by executing seat scaling and building configurations for confirmed contracts.
  • Act as the ticket operations lead for venue partners by assisting with ticket programming.
  • Serve as a liaison between the box office, promoters, and ticketing platforms, ensuring that events are set up according to requirements, providing daily sales reports, and managing ticket order distribution.
  • Oversee financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate ticket sales, preparing deposits, and establishing event control procedures.
  • Assist patrons with seating or ticket inquiries, deploy ticket scanners, and support the season ticket renewal process.
  • Provide training for staff and contractors on the computerized ticketing system.
  • Manage seat inventory by distributing complimentary tickets and optimizing seat allocation for public sale.
  • Compile and generate administrative reports to ensure accurate usage of suites and track event attendance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent, along with three years of relevant experience in a similar role. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge Required
Understanding of city regulations, supervisory techniques, ticket sales operations, and basic accounting principles.

Skills Required
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, prioritize tasks, provide excellent customer service, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Special Requirements
Must possess a valid driver's license.

Work Environment
Standard office environment with the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
