Position Summary — The Warehouse Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing the receipt of materials, managing production and warehouse teams, and ensuring timely execution of production schedules.

The Warehouse Operations Manager's responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment for all team members and customers.
  • Providing leadership and accountability to direct reports.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service with a professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Collaborating with sales teams, project managers, and other departments to guarantee accurate material receipt and timely production.
  • Managing the production schedule in coordination with the Shop Supervisor to enhance output and efficiency.
  • Implementing and upholding a quality control program for production.
  • Developing cost-saving initiatives through process improvements.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory levels and overseeing stock management.
  • Leading year-end inventory assessments and quarterly counts with the Warehouse team.
  • Identifying training needs for personal and team development to boost performance and engagement.
  • Maintaining appropriate staffing levels and recommending adjustments to the Operations Manager.
  • Ensuring clarity in work instructions and proper allocation of tools and materials for effective operations.
  • Handling customer and stock returns efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engaging in all relevant training opportunities for safety and job performance.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Utilizing company software and resources to fulfill essential business functions.
  • Monitoring various locations through dashboards and analyzing key information.
  • Managing time and attendance for direct reports.
  • Conducting performance reviews and recommending merit increases for warehouse personnel.
  • Leading departmental meetings and improvement initiatives across locations.
  • Traveling to various offices as necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis is essential.
  • Ability to work for extended periods in an office setting.
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software is preferred.
