Position Summary — The Warehouse Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing the receipt of materials, managing and developing both production and warehouse teams, and ensuring that production schedules are adhered to efficiently.

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for:

  • Ensuring a safe, clean, and productive work environment for all team members and clients.
  • Providing leadership and accountability to direct reports.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service with a professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Collaborating with sales teams, project managers, and other departments to ensure accurate material receipt and timely delivery of products.
  • Managing the production schedule in coordination with the Shop Supervisor to enhance output and efficiency.
  • Implementing and maintaining a quality assurance program for the production team.
  • Developing cost-saving initiatives through process improvements.
  • Overseeing inventory control and ensuring accuracy in relation to purchase orders.
  • Leading year-end inventory and quarterly counts in partnership with the Warehouse team.
  • Identifying training needs for personal and team development to enhance performance and engagement.
  • Maintaining appropriate staffing levels and advising the Operations Manager on necessary adjustments.
  • Ensuring clarity in work instructions and that necessary tools and materials are available for efficient operations.
  • Managing customer and stock returns effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engaging in relevant training opportunities focused on safety and position requirements.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams as needed.
  • Utilizing available software and resources to perform essential business functions.
  • Monitoring various locations remotely and analyzing information for operational insights.
  • Managing time and attendance for direct reports.
  • Conducting performance reviews and recommending merit increases to the Operations Manager.
  • Leading departmental meetings and improvement initiatives across all locations.
  • Traveling to other offices as necessary.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis is required.
  • Ability to work for extended periods in an office setting.
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software is advantageous.
